Fire not burning?!

I am using the Solar Apocalypse plugin and am in game, the fire will ignite, but won't burn. I have changed the gamerule in game, and even looked on the main server webinterface but no matter how many times I try it will not actually burn anything down. Is there any place to go to change this in the actual files?

Do you use EssentialsProtect or Wordguard?

Have you Write in the chat: /gamerule doFireTick true ? Thats the rule for fire goes burning.
