Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I am a complete noob to modding and want to add the Custom NPCs mod to my server. It requires Forge, but I do not know how to add that either. So my questions are:
1. How do I install Forge and the Custom NPCs mod on my server on the aternos.org website?
2. Does everyone who will play on my server also need to install Forge and the Custom NPCs mod on their computers?

On the Aternos website you just need to install CustomNPC. You can find it here: https://aternos.org/software/v/mods/customnpc
All dependencies like Forge etc. are added automatically.To play the mod you also need to install that mod on your client. All Players who want to join your server need that mod.
Installing the mod is quite easy.
Go to http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the right version.
Then download the mod in the same version as on the server and put it into the mods folder. The mods folder is located in your .minecraft folder. -

You have to try. It depends on the mod how compatible the worlds are.
Just try to upload the world. -
