Server not Saving

The server that i am on constantly says server saving or something along those lines. But when i properly shut down the server it did not even save from before it went rather it went farther back. I am very frustrated first, I have to connect with Dyn ip to connect, and giving that ot my friends is hard. That ip problem is fine because i know this is a free service, but when the servers don't save properly even after giving me messages of saving and launching me 3 days back is a bit discouraging. If you have any fix for this problem please tell me, because i didn't just a hour or two worth of work, I lost quite a bit. My settings for the server are also awry are reverted form hard to normal, quite a while ago. Again if you have any fix please tell me.

time: around 10:00-11:00 pm central time (america)

I shut down my server after it said saved and played a little though not too much, i pressed stop,it disconnected me, and then a few minutes later tried again but this time everything went wrong. i though it was because i used the url aternos.org/server/ to get to the page and it opened an older one, but i do that all the time and this is the first time it happened to me.

I don't really know how to do that. I know there is a log button next to the command entering thing but when I press it nothing shows up. Assistance would be appreciated.
