My World regenerated itself?

me and my friend were playing on my server (aternos server) and another friend wanted to join so i changed max players to 3 and restarted the server, when the server came back online it had regenerated the world and took all our builds, pets, and items we had worked on this world for weeks and i'm really hoping there is a way to get it back Thank you
