[Updated] How to write a good Plugin/Mod/Modpack request!

    This thread was inspired by vantezeens Thread.


    Please read the whole Thread before you create your request. It may be long but in the end it will save you and the Team a lot of time and effort!



    Before you create your request

    Before you create your request, check if the Plugin/Mod/Modpack was already requested.

    Just search it in the forum search. If the Mod/Modpack/Plugin was denied make sure the reason isnt up to date anymore and read this thread before you create a new request.

    If the Plugin/Mod/Modpack was already accepted just search it in the plugin/mod or the modpack section. There is no reason to request it then.

    Plugins and Mods are auto updated as long as they come from the same website. This may take some time so please give the System a few days before you ask here for Plugins or here for Mods/Modpacks.


    Due to a recent change on how Mods are fetched there is only a limited amount of versions available. Requesting a specific version of a Mod/Plugin doesnt work so please don't do it.




    Plugin requests

    This is specific to Java Plugins if you want to request a Pocketmine Plugin scroll down further.

    • Before you create your request make sure that:
    • your Plugin is available on devBukkit or Spigotmc. If its not officially avaible there Aternos cant add it. Please dont upload plugins you didnt make there thats illegal and wont help you.
    • it is directly available from there. If the download Button looks like the one on the following picture Aternos can't add it.

    • it is up-to-date.
    • it is free.

    If your Plugin meets these Requirements you can create your request:


    Select English as the language and plugin as the type.


    The title should be:

    [Plugin Request] Name of the Plugin



    The Text should include the following Information:

    • name of the plugin
    • a link to the plugin[no direct download link]
    • a short desciption in your own words and at least 15 words long!


    Here an example for a good Request:

    After you created your request wait for an answer. This may take a few days or in some cases even more then a week.



    Mod requests

    This is specific to single Mods! If you want to request a Modpack scroll down further.


    Before you create your request make sure that:


    • the Mod is popular[1000+ Downloads]
    • the mod and all its dependencies are available on Curseforge. If they aren't officially avaible there Aternos cant add them. Please dont upload Mods you didnt make there thats illegal and wont help you.
    • your mod is up-to-date
    • your mod is required on servers[if you can join with it on the client and it works fine you dont need to request it]

    If your Mod meets these Requirements you can create your request:


    Select English as the language and Mod as the type.


    The title should be:

    [Mod Request] Name of the Mod


    The Text should include the following Information:

    • name of the mod
    • a link to the mod[no direct download link]
    • a short desciption in your own words and at least 15 words long!


    Here an example for a good Request:

    After you created your request wait for an answer. This may take a few days or in some cases even more then a week.



    Modpack requests

    Before you create your Modpack request make sure that:

    • there is an up-to-date server download
    • on Technic: click on server download and make sure, the version matches with the newest one of the pack
    • on FTB/Curseforge/Twitch: Click on Files and make sure there is a server download next to the newest release[green icon with a r] like in the following picture.

    • the modpack is popular[1000+ Downloads]


    If your Modpack meets these Requirements you can create your request:


    Select English as the language and Mod as the type.


    The title should be:

    [Modpack Request] Name of the Modpack


    The Text should include the following Information:

    • name of the modpack
    • a link to the modpack[no direct download link]
    • a short desciption in your own words and at least 15 words long!


    Here an example for a good Request:

    After you created your request wait for an answer. Modpack requests usually take longer then other requsts so be patient



    Pocketmine Plugin requests

    Before you create your Modpack request make sure that:

    • its available on poggit. If its not officially avaible there Aternos cant add it. Please dont upload plugins you didnt make there thats illegal and wont help you.
    • its up-to-date

    If your Modpack meets these Requirements you can create your request:


    Select English as the language and Mod as the type.



    The title should be:

    [Pocketmine Plugin Request] Name of the Plugin


    The Text should include the following Information:

    • name of the modpack
    • a link to the plugin[no direct download link]
    • a short desciption in your own words and at least 15 words long!


    Here an example for a good Request:

    After you created your request wait for an answer. This may take a few days or in some cases even more then a week.
