  • Found this by accident & have to say I LOVE IT!

    Great work, folks!

(seriously, where can we donate or make some contribution? Ads are blocked network-wide by Policy, so chipping in to pay for infrastructure costs is preferable)

I/we use it as part of a "Minecraft/games club" I run for kids after school. The server I was running was too much of a PitA to manage myself, so this is a saver. Thanks.

I'd like to use this to extend work into out STEM tutoring workshops - i.e. learning to code: Python and/or JavaScript.

We have some kids that I've elevated to OP - they run the games, I simply look after the infrastructure & enforce the peace.

Are there server mods that can be loaded to facilitate this?

I understand that there could be not-insignificant security risks associated with this (not sure what your back-end infrastructure looks like), but don't really need all that much beyond the basics - basically I want to instill a sense of WOW! for them around coding.

There are a few suitable candidates out there, but wouldn't presume to suggest any specifically at this time.

    Hi

Great to hear that you enjoy our service.

Our service is completely run by ads. There is no way to pay or to donate.

We don't want our users to pay anything as this would mean that we have to prioritize paying people over normal ones. We would like to give everyone the same premium experience.

Also donations are very complicated due to local regulations etc., besides they have no advantage except the donor a good feeling.

I don't really understand what you mean with mods.

In general it's possible to install mods and plugins on a server. But only these mods which are already added to our website (They can be found on the addons page).

It's not possible to upload own mods or plugins.

    Fair enough; solid reasoning.

I'm not all that interested in pay-for-favour, but some sort of anon'd PayPal/Patreon "bucket" that would go towards hosting: GitHub, AWS(?), Cloudflaire, etc.

As part of the STEM edu I do, even though attendance is free (gratis) for the kids, I want to get it across to them that it's free as in Freedom (Libre), in order to make it accessible & that that's not always Free (gratis) as in pizza/beer, since someone STILL has to pay elsewhere, be it in time or coin.

As mentioned, I'm encouraging some of our more "advanced" kids to go home & set up their own instances & share what they learn with the rest of us.

I've found a request for the RaspberryJuice plugin & added my proverbial +1.

Will file a fresh request when I have some time.
