Issue with better portals mod for 1.12.2

I wanted to know if there was a way to disable the melt effect better portals gives with traveling to a dimension other than through a nether/end portal. I have mods that require frequently going between dimensions (Travelhuts, new TARDIS) and it gets annoying to see both places melt around me obstructing my vision for too long. I've checked through the config file but I found nothing except for other mods compatibility.
