certain mods wont work

    I was trying to get the twilight mod, and biomes of plenty mod and when I went to go run the game it crashed (these are both on different occasions) and it said that in order to run those mods I needed different versions of forge. I went to go look for them they were not there. So my only questions are how do I fix this, and why on earth would you keep a mod that DOESNT work for the versions of forge this website gives us?
