I wish you can update "ConnectedTexturesMod" for 1.16.5.
It works in 1.16.5 but the name is 1.16.1 so i think you thought it was not working.
The version CTM - MC1.16.1-1.1.2.6

The mod "ConnectedTexturesMod" is a client-side only mod, means that you don't need to install it onto your server, you only need to install it on your PC and it should works.
I already requested and it should now already be removed from the mod list, but I think it's a caching problem.
