Fabric server doesn't work anymore despite being fine previously

My friend and I have been playing on a world that uses pekhui recently, to make all mobs smaller. It had been working fine for multiple sessions over a couple weeks until a few days ago when we went on and nothing worked. The server loaded fine but when I went on, it was in that laggy state where you cant drop items or take damage, blocks dont have gravity, cant hit mobs etc, until i got kicked 30 seconds later for the reason "timed out". Tried it a couple more times and still same thing. Figuring aternos was just having an off-day, we left it alone for a few days until about an hour ago when i went to try it again, and the exact same thing happened. Tried a couple times and same thing. It's not an internet issue or a joining servers issue bc i was able to play on hypixel, so we dont know whats going on. The world was created in 1.16.5 fabric, with the 1.16.5 versions of Pehkui and FabricApi and i used the 1.16.5 Fabric loader in the launcher, and despite 1.17 coming out a few days ago i updated none of these things and none of these things have been updated. Making a copy of the world and putting it on a different server didnt change anything either, and for some reason aternos never made any backups of it. Any way to fix this without deleting the world or getting rid of pehkui?
