Since I know that Tekkit Classic does not work with your servers, i think Tekkit Classic Reborn might work. It is practically Tekkit Classic, but moved over to minecraft version 1.7.10. Tekkit Classic being a modpack that has been around since the very beginning of the Technic Launcher, I would love to play it with my friends. Tekkit Classic Reborn focuses on building machinery and using energy to your advantage.
