Please update the essentials zip it is still 1.7 and it is an old version of essentials I can't get the latest essentials chat so The Prefixs/groups won't work on my server please update the zip file to the latest version Thanks then I can get pex again

There is now actual version of essentials. Just install essentialsX.

There is only the zip version of normal essentials avaiable. In this zip all elementary plugins (chat,spawn,protect,etc..) are included

There is no official Essentials.zip for versions 1.8+. The Essentials.zip only goes up to 1.7.

Sure you can, but you need to install essentialsX not essentials because essentials wont be updated anymore.
