What software do you use?

I have built a mob grinder which has 9 floors. Only 3-4 mobs respawn (Version 1.17.1, hard mode, mob grinder is above the depths of the ocean). When I bring it to single player, 20-30 mobs appear. How to speed up the respawn of mobs on the server?

the server is on normal vanilla engine

Then consider switching to PaperMC, PaperMC has much better performance than Vanilla, PaperMC also patches some vanilla bugs & exploits and provides other more features. Consider reading the rest of the article.
