She's probably in the friend access of her friends server.
She can leave that by clicking the red button right under the server ip in the top right corner.
If this is not case please try to log out and log in again.

1. Not all mods are added to aternos and writing constantly applications for adding a mod is tedious.
We don't want just add all mods to our system without any type of checking from our side.
3. Mods differ from plugins in that they will not work on a different version of forge than given.
Yep. Until some weeks we had a filter system for mods that only shows mods versions which are compatible with your installed version. Due to latest changes of the curseforge website this is not possible.
To create such a search feature you expect a lot of effort would be required. We would need to create something like a database clone of the curseforge mod directory. This database system would need to be redundant and scaleable. In addition systems which keeps this database in sync maybe very error-prone due.
It is much more work than just updating the search field and add some filters.
Right now the effort required to set that up is much higher than the benefit.

Why don't you just search up the mods on curseforge / spigotmc.org / dev.bukkit etc?

Then it should work by typing /seed into the console. Make sure your server is online while doing this.
