In most cases, configuration files get generated when the server starts.

Can you please check if the issue persists without plugins on a plain Paper server.

We only offer the latest and recommended build of each version.

There are no plans to provide are other versions.

Which addon are you talking about?

What is the address of the server?

Ask the mod creator of bewitchment.

I can just say that the crash is related to that mod

Then the end should be located in the main world in the DIM1 folder.

What happens when you try to do so?

Please do the following

• Stop Minecraft as well as the server
• Start Minecraft and your server
• Try joining your server
• Stop the server and Minecraft on your computer

Then share the server log using the share button on the log page and attach your client log to the forums post. The client log is located in .minecraft/logs/latest.log on your computer

Of course all client related stuff is needed from your friend, as he's the one not able to join the server

Try removing bewitchment

Java edition does not support addons. Only Bedrock edition does.

Make sure the installed mods on your computer are the same as on the server.

Also the versions must match. If you're sure that everything is correct share your client log. You can find it at .minecraft/logs/latest.log on your computer

Which software and version is installed?

Optifine is a client-only mod.

Restoring a backup wipes all data of the current server and loads everything from the backup.

We can't really make it more clearer as everything is fakeable and adding mods/plugins is always a case-by-case decision.
