You definitely did. It's not possible to switch the software with a reinstall without clicking "Yes, Reinstall" as only this button calls the action to do so.

Yes, I do always do that (if possible) in precedence before modifying anything on a users server.
But restoring that would bring the corrupted server files back.

Does the issue persist on Vanilla?

One of the installed datapacks is probably broken.
Try removing them one by one to isolate which datapack that is.
