I assume you fixed the problem yourself, as your server is currently online.

maybe.
The backup function itself works fine. -
Did you already check this: https://help.aternos.org/en/startstop ?
Which version is installed on your server?
-
We want to keep our system as easy as possible for our users.
If we would just stop the server many users have to wait in the queue again and don't even know why their server stopped. Working with mods, especially if you are new to this topic, is very complicated.

We know that APIs are available, but:
- The server versions of modpacks are not hosted by techniclauncher. They are hosted on 3rd party sites like megaupload, dropbox etc. (Same reason why we can't add plugins which have an external download)
- We have to prepare modpacks bevor deploying them to our system. Testing modpack, adjusting ram, adjust time until the server is marked as crashed etc.
Unfortunately it's not as easy as you think.

We're already 4
3 of the posts you've quoted are old and caused by completely different sources. There's no reason to suppose that there is a general problem with the backup function.
Also i tested it again right now.
I think you've just corrupted your world or sth. like this. -
The player files are located in the players folder of your world directory. To delete it you have to download your world and delete the respective file.
The name of the player file is the uuid of the user.Upload map:

Your server was running on a host with a full disk. We automatically get notified about such errors.
Next time you start your server all should work normal.
-
For me it works. Maybe you mistyped something.2-46-600x400.jpg

We only have limited resources. If we keep servers online 24/7 we would waste many resources, resources which could be used by players who really want to play and are not AFK.
Also it would lengthen the queue!
