Man muss da etwas unterscheiden:
Alle 5 Minuten wird der save-all Befehl ausgeführt, welche die Weltdaten auf die Festplatte schreibt um bei einem Absturz des Hosts Weltenverlust zu vorzubeugen.
In unregelmäßigen Abständen ca. 1 bis 3 Tage wird dein Server einmal komplett auf unser Backup-System gesichert. Dieses Backup kannst du mit der "Backup wiederherstellen"-Funktion wiederherstellen. Dieses Backup enthält zusätzlich zur Welt auch Plugin-Daten etc. -

We currently see no reason for adding Cauldron because Aternos does not allow the installation of own mods or creating own customized Modpacks.
Modpacks are and will only be added in their official setting. In Detail:
If a modpack is distributed with Forge as basic software, Aternos also runs the modpack with Forge.
If a modpack is distributed with Cauldron as basic software, Cauldron also runs the modpack with Cauldron.Of course we will add Sponge, but not now. We are waiting until Sponge and the affiliated Plugin Plattform (Ore) are in a stable and usable state.
As long as no stable API is implemented into Ore for querying plugindata we can not add the functionality to install Sponge plugins. And without plugins Sponge would be useless. -
1) The difference between us and many other hosting providers is that we are completely free.
2) The second reason is, that Aternos is a completely dynamic system. That means that in every state your server can be (offline, online, loading etc..) your server is in another physical location in our network. This makes it really complicated to provide FTP access to your server.
3) FTP-Access would allow users to upload anything they want to their server, also files we dont want. I think, i dont need to describe this point more explicit.
4) The main logic behind Aternos is to keep servers which are used online, and stop servers which are not used to grab the resources for another server. By allowing users FTP access some of these mechanics could be undermined. -
This is a client only mod, it makes no sense to add it to the server....
