Ich kann die Aussage von @astoorangi nur bestätigen. Es gibt kein Update für Essentials auf der offiziellen Essentials dev.bukkit.org-Seite.

Für die Aktualität der auf Aternos.org verfügbaren Plugins sind einzig und allein die Entwickler der Plugins selber verantwortlich.

There´s no spigot build where you can join with 1.7 and 1.8.
There was a development version of spigot build on 1.7.10 which allows 1.8 connections to servers, also in this version does not contain any 1.8 features and items. These Development builds are very critical in secure and should not be used. So aternos can not provide that builds. -

Currently there is no official 1.8 Version for Essentials available on dev.bukkit.org so we can´t provide the version you wish.

Es gibt eine offizielle Curse API, das stimmt.
Die Problematik ist derzeit, dass wir nicht wissen die auf Curse verfügbaren Ressourcen überprüft werden und sicher sind.
