I tried to delete unused chunk with thanos, but unfortunately it didn't really work.
This might be related to the your installed software. You're using forge with mods, these mods are probably affecting world generation in such a way that we can't delete chunks automatically.
You probably need to download the world and delete unused chunks manually with e.g. MCedit.

We provide the server softwares as we get them from the developers. If they are missing features we can't really do anything.
