What version does the mcmmo 1.5.00 cb 1.7.9-R0.2 3/27/2016 work with, My server is 1.11 something, and it dosen't work with that, and I updated it to 1.12.2 and mcmmo still dosen't work. also, aternos dosen't have spigot 1.7.9.

    idk what to do

I hate to repeat myself on things and I know you all are trying to work on it, but I had seen what looked like an updated aternos when I logged in. Have you added multiple mods yet or when will it come out. I truly love aternos, but that one thing hinders me from being able to do what I want on my server. Again sorry if this subject seems spammed, but it's something that I feel would free me to have the best experience for the server I have planned. Truly I must thank you all, this is the best mc server host I've seen.

I'm trying to make an ultramodded server for my friends, but you all don't support multiple mods. However, I have a theory that if I tell all my friends exactly what mods to get, then it might work out as an ultramodded server (modding our personal games instead of the server). My only concern is if the things we do in the mods will be saved when the world comes back. Does anyone know what might happen. I'm going to test it out and probably report back on what I got, but I wanted to get input from here.

people keep asking this and it is near impossible, the main reason for that is that making a modpack isent as easy as just putting all the mods in a mods folder (Most of the time) you have to do a bunch of manual work to get it working and thus would either require a highly advanced ai or for them to add what you want to the list of modpacks, both of which are unlikely.
I am sorry that this "hinders my server idea" the aternos team may add this in a update but I think said update is long to come.

at least they quickly add the latest snapshot of vanilla minecraft so fast

    ok, just wanted to know

Hello, I have really enjoyed Aternos and so far it's the best server host I can find. I do experience a few off things here and there, but what can you say, it's free. Anyways, I was trying to make a ultramodded server, however I found that you can only do one mod at a time, and you have to have the same client as the server. I don't mind having to install the client, however not being able to have the mods I want hinders my server idea.

Is there some way to do multiple mods, or will that be in some update, or is it just plain impossible.

also, do you have to have the mods on your minecraft, or does it just take the client

I completely love aternos, it's the easiest free way i could find to run a server. now, there are things that could be worked on, but with user feedback, i feel this will be an awesome mc server host. my only request so far is the ability to navigate through the plugins easier, like with genre (i think i spelled that right) tabs and what not.

Just make two accounts, is easier to manage then and you don't have to download and upload your worlds all the time.

wait, really. most mc server websites only allow one per person, and you have to jump through some tough obstacles to get another if you have other members of your family wanting to make their minecraft server using the same system. this is really convenient if it's still true

these two reasons are just examples. But yes, changing the server icon would be the same.

btw. The ability of changing the server icon will be added in future

so could I use a plugin that allows says it can change my server icon, or do i have to wait until it's added

@gavin2death You dont understand the point.
The problem is not the uploading or editing procedure. The problem is, that the uploaded mod or plugin is loaded into the server and executes code on our host systems.

This has the consequence that people can upload mods or plugins

    • with suspicious code. (Aternos server are secured very strongly, but we don't need to enforce security risks)
    • which try to bypass our system. For example: faking slots to avoid that the server gets stopped, removing our brand from motd etc.

would a plugin that changes the server icon be considered "removing our brand from motd etc." where you said 'which try to bypass our system. For example: faking slots to avoid that the server gets stopped, "removing our brand from motd etc."'

I couldn't access the config files until I started my server up, then when I went to "plugins and files" and clicked the name of the plugin and it worked.
try running your server, then try to find the config files
