That is exactly what I was thinking I would have to do. Ill give it a try.
well my mcedit is broken, I don't know what to do now
Hello, I have really enjoyed Aternos and so far it's the best server host I can find. I do experience a few off things here and there, but what can you say, it's free. Anyways, I was trying to make a ultramodded server, however I found that you can only do one mod at a time, and you have to have the same client as the server. I don't mind having to install the client, however not being able to have the mods I want hinders my server idea.
Is there some way to do multiple mods, or will that be in some update, or is it just plain impossible.
people keep asking this and it is near impossible, the main reason for that is that making a modpack isent as easy as just putting all the mods in a mods folder (Most of the time) you have to do a bunch of manual work to get it working and thus would either require a highly advanced ai or for them to add what you want to the list of modpacks, both of which are unlikely.
I am sorry that this "hinders my server idea" the aternos team may add this in a update but I think said update is long to come.
at least they quickly add the latest snapshot of vanilla minecraft so fast
I was thinking that it would be AWESOME to have multiple mods for one game, and that you could select the mods version. For example, I want to do 1.8 Lucky Blocks and Pixelmon, but I can only do 1.10.2. If you could add the ability to play more mods and pick the version, that would be amazing!
many people have suggested the same sort of thing. and the simple answer is that its not a simple thing to have multiple mods at one time, the only way I would see them being able to do that is by making each mod combination by hand which would take a long time which they could be using on thinks more important like making servers run faster or start up quicker or whatever they work on.
A lot of that was hard to understand and didn't make sense (no offence)
but I suggest getting rid of the newest plugin and see if that works.
Tip: there will be 2 files under the plugins name (usually) and if you delete the one with the file icon (not the one with the folder icon) then you will disable the plugin but when you get it again it will have the old config incase you want to keep it. and if that doesn't work then get rid of the config too
Another tip: the plugin called CS-corelib sometimes causes problems to my server, but I easily fix it by deleting the plugin and then reinstalling it.
How big is your world?
You can upload up to 200MB.
I don't know... Ill go check...
332 MB
How do I make that less?
delete entities?
Backstory
My server broke... once again, so I tried fixing it by getting rid of some of the newer plugins and some of the unstable-ish ones too, but nothing worked... I managed to get mcedit and found what might have been the problem, so I fixed it...
Problem
I think I fixed the main problem for the world and all I had to do was to upload the fixed version to the server... sadly such a task proved to be more difficult than I first expected... my world is apparently too big to be uploaded, so what should I do? delete all of the world other than the important parts? or do I have to do something more extreme?
For more information you can go to the discord I made for my server: discord.gg/8XqjtJg
so I was using a bot to help people with their problems for fun (it was manually controlled)
I used /npc speak but ran into a problem, the range a player had to be within to see the text was about 5 blocks, I want it to be infinite or near infinite.
If anybody know how to do that or where a better place to ask this is, then please tell me.
I know that it is currently possible to start the server from a mobile device using the web browser, but my idea is maybe a app which does this but makes it easier to use and the main reason I want this: notifications on the phone! I don't know if all phones have some sort of notification system but mine does and I think it would be nice if I could be notified on my phone of if someone joins the server, leaves the server, server starts, server stops, etc.
Ok nevermind I managed to fix it myself.
The problem wasn't anything close to what I thought.
Thanks anyway
I need a folder at plugins/worldguard/worlds called "test"
inside it I need 3 files
and I think from there I can do the rest (If my theory on why this is correct)
I might have came up with an idea though...
sounds like you are crashing. try downloading the world, finding where your player data is stored, and delete it.
then reupload it and try again.
side effects WILL include: lose of all inventory, lose of ender chest inventory lose of spawnpoint and other minor things
no, I haven't used either of those plugins, but I would suggest looking at the PerWorldPlugins config file for what you can do with it.
I haven't used that plugin yet, but I imagine it would teleport you to a world when typing "/world <World name>"
quick tip: have multiple plugins using the same command? use /<Plugin name>:<command>
example: "/minecraft:give @p diamond" or "/essentials:give diamond"
(uses vanilla /give)(uses essentials /give
(May not work in command blocks but I'm not entirely sure)
maybe try going to the multiworld config and swap the world names of the faction world and the hub world
If new players are spawning in the faction server then its probably named "world" and the hub world will be named whatever you chose to name it
or maybe try /setworldspawn
and yes there is a way to get specific plugins on specific worlds, go to install a plugin and search for "PerWorldPlugins"
It has several reasons, most importantly security related.
what about being restricted to only being able to add blank .txt/.yml/ etc. and/or creating empty folders
I actually need help fixing my server, this being one of the ways to fix it. my only other option would be to uninstall a importent (which would cause me to have to recreate all the stuff I used it for)
more info can be found here Creating new .txt files/folders to plugin folders
The server being fixed is not just for me... I have people come and enjoy playing on my server, as if it was a regular server, I even have a discord channel for it.

The problem with the free version of Lib's Disguise is that it's outdated and we would like to keep our plugin list updated with plugins that actually work for newer versions.
I have a idea, even though it sorta goes against what you said, you could lable it as outdated saying {Outdated!}[1.11]
[1.11] = the latest available version
Alright, I am helping my buddy host a server, and he is using Aternos to host it, most likely because it is free, but its also fucking horrible. Without the option to pay, that really limits what you can do on the servers. We are hosting a server on the AVP modpack, but the server is laggy as fuck. This is mostly due to the weather mod in it, and I tried to setup a command block constantly running that clears the weather so we dont have to worry about it, but that lags the server too! Your servers for hosting are a joke, if you are gonna force people to NOT pay for a damn server then they should atleast be decent and able to hold more than 0 people without lagging. And whats up with the shit about not being able to edit mod configs? Or the modpacks themselves? The hosters that provide free servers are cool, but not when they force you to fucking choose from a certain list of mods/modpacks/plugins, now that's just BS. We want to run our server without lag, we want to add/remove custom mods and plugins, and especially fucking edit the mod configs. The little "promise" you have on your home page says the servers are fully customizable so its OUR game, thats a big ass lie, and you give us so little ram its sad. There are literately 2-3 of us on at a time, and thats it. All I am saying is that we want a fully customizable server, with enough RAM to actually support the modpacks you fucking give us and the players on it, there is absolutely no logical reason why we cant edit the modpack, the mods, the plugins, the config files, etcetera, to our hearts content. And you say you stopped us from using the server.properties thing for "Security Reasons"... like fucking hell you did, what kind of "Security" leaks are in there? I have seen a server.properties file before, why not just allow us to use FTP connections or other things to edit our servers to our hearts content, or allow the option for custom RAM, because the RAM you give us is shit, literately only TWO people play at a time, and we see each other jumpin around (Rubberbanding), our chat messages have a bit of a delay before they are actually sent, and the game has random TPS drops to where you have to wait like half a minute before it goes back to its previous state, which isnt even really that good.
most of this stuff your saying, either you are doing it wrong or its just simply not possible... keep in mind aternos is free... they don't host the server with a super computer, they do not have infinite ram.
and also I don't have that good of a computer, most of the problems you listed I have to deal with every day no matter what server I am on!
so deal with it, and use constructive criticism instead of toxic hate towards all aternos staff.
I'm in trouble, can you help me?
I can not select more maps on my server because I can not access the folders of my server![]()

If you are trying to add multiple worlds to your server, I may have an idea on how you could do it using the multiworld plugin
I have not tested this, but I think it should work
1.upload a world to your server
2.get the multiworld plugin
3.start the server
4.create a new world (superflat would generate the fastest)
5.somehow swap the names of the two worlds (I don't know how you could, but If you figure out how to then it should work)
6.upload a 2ed world
7.start the server to see if it works (you should have the first uploaded world and the 2ed)
8.repeat steps 4-8 till all worlds have been uploaded to the server
tip about the multiworld plugin: you can put a command into a command block "/mw move @p (worldname)" to allow players to travel between worlds from a spawn area (without needing to be "/op"ed)
