This is quite a common issue, and as stated from one of my three informational threads (in Offtopic. I suggest reading them) I recommend looking the issue up before asking

Good evening y'all! After taking 2 minutes to compile a list of common questions and problems, I figured I'd share em with ya. Another reason, of course, is to be able to redirect those who ask these questions here. Consider this a FAQ mixed in with frequent probems.

Problem 1 - "Commands will not work on my server"

Answer 1 - This is most likely due to a faulty plugin. The main cause for this is using Essentials on a server above version 1.7.10. If this is the case, switch Essentials out for EssentialsX

Problem 2 - "Server is lagging like crazy"

Answer 2 - One of a few things are happening. Either you have massive objects running at once, such as spawners or command blocks, massive areas have been worldedited out, or you're just on 1.13.

Problem 3 - "I keep getting timed out"

Answer 3 - The disconnect error Timed Out is often correlated to your connection. Try checking your router, wifi, and ping before spamming us down.

Problem 4 - "Sharing Logs"

Answer 4 - Go to the Logs tab (will be labeled Console while the server is online) to load your last server session's logs. Press share and paste the link. Before pasting tho, be sure to click Show Suggestions to save all of us some time.

Question 1 - "Can the Aternos Team add ____?"

Answer 1 - If you request it on the right sub-forum of https://board.aternos.org

Question 2 - "Can they add Buycraft/Votifier?"

Answer 2 - My god no. Please I've seen this question WAY TOO MANY TIMES

Question 3 - "Why won't my plugin work in 1.13?"

Answer 3 - If you've managed to run a 1.13 Bukkit/Spigot server, you'll soon discover how many plugins are not updated for it currently. 1.13 plugin support most likely has not been added for that specific plugin due to the version being quite recent or issues with physics interference.

Isn't that already when you're supposed to change it...

Unless you mean a different MOTD if the server's offline. If not, then what you're suggesting is already possible

If your version is above 1.8, switch Essentials out for EssentialsX

If not, keep as is

If players are getting timed out, they most likely lose connection

Aternos uses a constant IP changing system, where they DynIP generated after every restart changes. If this were added, every server that got the DynIP would be getting the rewards

Only thing I can tell you is to try again and check your spam folder

Hey man if you don't want help, then don't post it on the forums

Make sure you typed the email that is linked to your account

For the future, I recommend typing /save-all before you log off

Type /op (yourname) in the console, and try again afterwards
