What is your server's Software running on? A plugin/mod could be messing with mob spawning.

Ensure that the following settings are true:
"Monster" - ON
"Animals" - ON
"Difficulty" - Anything except Peaceful
If that doesn't work then I have no idea what's wrong with your server.

Confirmed, Aternos file servers are down.

Hey Aternos Team, I just recently got a message saying that the Aternos file servers are down for some reason. I have no idea at present if you are aware of the issue, or if this is a local outage, but can the issue be fixed as soon as humanly possible? We really miss playing on our servers.

This situation is out of Aternos' control, CurseForge itself is experiencing issues. The admins over there will have to do it manually, so I don't believe anyone has an estimate on how long this will take to blow over.

For whatever reason, whenever I attempt to connect to a server that runs Minecraft Forge (don't know if it's only Aternos or all servers yet), Forge Mod Loader (FML) tells me that it has detected missing/unknown registries. That missing registry is known as "minecraft:dataserializers" (as seen in the below image). Is there a solution or workaround for this, and if so, may I be redirected to the article that provides that solution? Thank you.
EDIT: My server is running Forge 1.12.2 (14.23.5.2838) -
It looks like curseforge is still down.
It might be a local outage as I can still access the actual CurseForge website. That, or the download servers are down, I haven't checked entirely.
