You have to install CraftBukkit or Spigot at the 'My server' page and then install Essentials at the 'Files & Plugins' page. Make sure your Essentials version is compatible with your currently installed CraftBukkit or Spigot version.

Or just be honest and buy a Minecraft account.

You can delete your account, but if you want to create a new account you can just reinstall your server as well, that's what I'm trying to tell you. You can download your world save with the download button. Your Minecraft ingame name has nothing to do with your Aternos server.

Do you get any client side error messages? Make sure to log in with the original Minecraft launcher.

Can you please describe the mod pack in more detail and tell us why you want it to be added?

You're probably using CraftBukkit and not Vanilla as you said you use plugins. In the server console, run

difficulty 1

and

gamerule doMobSpawning true

Mind the capitalization for this command.
