You can find the server log at the My Server page. I assume your player file is corrupted. Are you able to join the world in single player mode?

The easiest way would be to use additional plugins. Using a scoreboard is possible too, but setting it up is a little bit more difficult.

The whole would be much more helpful. I assume your server just takes too much time to start.
