I have been able to log in while my client has the server mods but get this error when using most client-side mods that I normally would be able to use in a vanilla server (Like, for instance, "Mouse Tweaks", "Controlling", and "Neat". Strangely enough, I have been able to get Xaero's Minimap and World Map to work, however.

Try to remove non client side mods one-by-one.
Sounds like one of these mods causes some incompatibly or something like that.

Then you probably need to play without them.

I've seen several similar cases within the last days where just adding client-side mods result in error messages like this.
Maybe that's a Forge bug or so.

We don't develop Forge, so Idk. We can't say definitively that it's forge either, it's just an assumption.
