That's not true. If you really want to donate, not "donate" (=get something in return), then we are totally happy about that.We also had a donation button in the past. We removed it because there were nearly no donations (I think I can count them with one hand).
And it caused more trouble then it was worth, e.g. people asking for something in return after they donated or other issues.There are some rumours out there claiming that Aternos is paid with donations & ads, which is simply not true and was never true.
We only get money from ads and we will never get enough money from donations to run just one machine.
So please keep in mind that if you donate, you will not really push forward our system or help us growing our infrastructure.
It is a nice way to say thank you to us and give us a little treat, but it also means a lot to us if you just say thank you without any money. -
