Hello Aternos, I do not know if you have gotten questions just like this one, but I'll assume I'm not the first. So, your motto is: Free Forever (might be), I was wondering if you could remove the aternos.me at the end of the ip. Example: test.aternos.me. So hopefully you could change it at least to like if it could have mc. and .com at the end, i'm sure you can do that. Example: mc.example.com. Hopefully you would do this, because it would make more people use aternos.org, and in my opinion, it would be best for all servers. I understand you want people who are joining other people's aternos server, to know that it is hosted at aternos, but it would be better to have it as whatever the person wants. P.S, your motto is free forever (might be), so might as well just call it free forever with aternos in the ip. Hopefully you would put this into thought, because it would really make things better for everyone. Thank you.

Domains with a custom text in front of the .org, .com, .net etc. cost money.
Such domains need to be registered globally by an domains registrar. Depending on the domain ending you have to spend a smaller or bigger amount of money yearly to own that domain. -

Perhaps the main reason it's there, alongside Roman's claim, is that .me ending may be cheaper then the rest, and that adding custom domains could lead then to an overflow of people asking for more stuff that they possibly cannot physically add, such as Buycraft (can't be added due to the always changing server IP address), or custom plugins (unable to add due to security/fairness issues)And gotta add this in, but this is a free hosting. If you're using it, you should use what they provide. They could've given less, but they tried to give as much as they could, without going overboard

me domains are not really cheaper, on the contrary, they are even comparatively expensive.
It's a bit complicated to explain what exactly is paid for domains, because you have to know the structure and the technical background. -
