"player moved too quickly" error

for some reason on Sky Factory 3 and every time i move really fast, such as when i use supremium armor, i get a message in the console saying: (player name) moved too quickly. The problem with this is that i get sent back and lose all my speed. For some reason though, my friend tested it and he didn't get sent back or even get the message in the console. I've tried /gamerule disableElytraMovementCheck true in-game and in the console as well as when i was flying with an elytra. Is there anything else i can do? Any help is greatly appreciated.
