Does Aternos work for Windows 8 HP laptop???

Soooo I don't think Aternos works with HP Windows 8 because whenever I click it it'll say file server down, or too many servers running, or say attempting to start for like 3 hours, say loading for hours but it works some times if I get it working Im gonna keep it on bye just leaving my laptop plugged in and turn the screen timeout to never so It'll always stay on. Please help though because I have a iMac too and it works on there perfectly. Thanks
