  • Issue with one of my servers, where they overload an exeed their amount of memory, making them skip ticks, or various seconds in some cases. As far as I know, Ram in aternos is distributed by amount of players, software, and some other factors. Being Vanilla one of the lowest RAM Receiving. This is "fine" as long as you dont use datapacks, wich seem to require some memory. I removed some of them because of the lag spikes being too hard on us and that made the frequency of lag less .... frequent. I mean... I dont see really aternos making compatibility with datapacks since they already work if they are manually installed, and there isnt a true page of confidence for only datapacks. But at least some way of recognizing it and automatically allowing a bit more ram or something??? Because I dont have many expensive ones, they are just some like.... multiplayer sleeping, bigger phantoms, some anti mob griefings, simple stuff. And yet the console os filled with red "Cant keep up!" Messages. Also, May I know if there are some toughts for Datapacks? Maybe I am wrong and you have plans for em ?

  • 1.13 and newer versions (like 1.14) has new world generation which needs more resources and due to aternos being free this cant be done
but aternos increased memory for it

    so what do you expect?
but if you still want to change i recommond you to change to PaperMC instead of vanilla it is more optimized and you even can install plugins

  • yeah, Maybe one of those could be the answer. Im not interested in plugins at least for this server, but I could use the extra memory from those softwares for the datapacks. And yeah, I dont expect the most wonderful connection experience, but having the console full of skipping ticks notifications because of full memory its a problem. You got the expected lag of the free service (wich is super tolerable and managable) but combined wity the skipped ticks... yeah, kind of annoying.
