Why do pictures not work?

I made a thread and added two pictures:

one that has been uploaded to the forum by someone before and

one that i made myself.

i clicked on the picture and added the links in the first field.

both work in the editor but once i publish it the one thats not uploaded to aternos goes weird.

it just shows a link for me contained in [] with a IMG: after the [

I guess it needs to be a .png or .jpg but was uploading images removed or how do you do that?

I feel like the forum software is blocking outside image uploads

well the image in the thread shows "Blockierte grafik"

because I didnt find out how yet
