it is my frist time to have a server with a mod. so i dont know very much abute all of this, but is there anyone who can tell me how i can opdate my modded server? my mod is pixelmon generation and it is on 2.8.3. i want to change it to 2.9.1 but i dont know how to do it.
how do i update pixelmon generation to 2.9.1

no it was there, it may have been removed due to the issue, you can find the thread about the issue on the same board here, i posted it and its being looked into

That's the issue he's talking about: Pixelmon Generations not working properly
It only applies to custom modded servers, not to servers using the Pixelmon Generations modpack from Technic launcher
