Severe Lag

[Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded? Running 4290ms or 85 ticks behind

I saw this in the console, how do i solve this.

Im just running the vanilla minecraft with no plugins.

if the software is not papermc, please switch to papermc, and make backups before doing so.

thank you for replying, i already tried switching to papermc.
When i switched, i cant even connect to the server.

What error does it give you

Theres no error, i just cant connect to the server.
Then after sometime trying to connect, it says connection timed out or something like that.
