  • Hello Aternos Team, this is my first posted thread. If I have misplaced it, please correct as needed.

I am requesting assistance in installing a mod onto the Aternos server I am using. Specifically, I want to install the mod 'Quark' for Minecraft version 1.15.2. In this thread (closed on Jun 18th 2020 by Engineer user Roman), it indicates that this mod is "Already Added," but I do not find it when I search the Mods/Plugins page.

So far, I have followed the first step in your provided video titled "How to: Install mods on your server" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dLcI1q-j-T0), and have installed the correct version of Forge on to my server. I am now on step two, where I must search for and find the mod 'Quark' to install it. What do you recommend I do next to find this mod, so that I may add it to my server?

Thank you for your time. :)

Changed the title of the thread from “[Support Request] Help to add Mod/Plugin (e.g. Quark) to server” to “[Support Request] Help to add Mod/Plugin (e.g. Quark) to server (1.15.2)”.
  • You only have a plugin software.

You will need either the magma or the curseforge software for mods.

Magma provides plugins AND mods, forge only mods.

Thank you again, Bluewy. I have read a little about Magma, and will look into it further as a resolution to install the Quark mod.

If I understand correctly, once I uninstall Forge and install Magma in its place, then I will be able to search and find the Quark mod, to install it?

Update 1: I see that for Aternos servers, Magma appears to only be available for Minecraft version 1.12.2. The version I wish to use is 1.15.2, so it looks like Magma will not be a viable option for me. I will next look into Curseforge as a resolution, as you have suggested above.

Update 2: I do not see Curseforge as an option on the Software page. Where can I find this option that you have suggested?

  • sorry, should be listed as just "mods" on the software page, or "forge"

Thank you. When I access the Forge page for Minecraft version 1.15.2 (which is the version I am using), it indicates to me that it is already installed since it shows the "Reinstall" button instead of "Install:"

Perhaps I cannot access the Quark mod page because the site is not detecting that I have the correct Forge version installed on the server. I will next back up my current world and plugins, then reinstall Forge for Minecraft 1.15.2 to see if this resolves the issue of "file not found" when I visit the Quark mod page that you linked above.

Update 1: I searched the Modpacks section of the Software page, in case a modpack contained the Quark mod. After searching first 'Curse,' then 'Others,' and then the rest, I did not find the Quark mod in any of them.

Update 2: I have successfully created a backup of my plugins and world, and have re-installed Forge for Minecraft version 1.15.2.

After this, I went to the Quark mod page which you linked above, and I now see the Quark mod! I have successfully installed it along with its dependencies, and am running the server. It appears that the issue was either my Forge installation was not being detected previously, or my installation of Paper/Spigot was interfering somehow.

Thank you for sticking with me as we shot the trouble of this issue, Bluewy!

Edited once, last by Banzar44: I completed re-installation of Forge version 31.2.0 for Minecraft 1.15.2. ().

  • Reinstall just means it will reset your world and files and such, not that you already have it. If you had it it would show a checkmark.

Ah, I see. Then that must have been the issue -- it was never installed in the first place!

Thank you for your help, Bluewy. May the Force be with you!

Update: I've decided to run my server as it was before, and without the Quark mod. I found that I lose too many other plugin features for my liking, just to add this one Quark mod, and I am content without it. Thank you nonetheless for your service to me!
