Translations aren't edited in the .jar... they're edited in the folder of the plugin/mod after you start the server with it

I don't see any way to translate its .jar file. Once you change plugin's name. The whole function will not work well. Have you ever ran a plugin with its name changed before?

He means change the actual texts and stuff inside the .jar

Ah I see. Well in that case translating text needs an additional .yml file (such as message.yml) inside a folder of the specific plugin.
