  • Hey everyone I've heard a lot of people be like "Well we won't help people who have a Cracked server since it's piracy". Do you think that people should not help people who run a Cracked server. I don't think so since Mojang had it as a feature. Also usually Cracked servers don't help piracy. Most server that are Cracked just do it to get more players. I make Cracked server for personnel use. They allow me to use any name I want which I like. I do have a Minecraft account so I don't see this as piracy. I have put a good amount of thought into this post. Also most server hosts have it as an option and as far as I know Mojang has never taken any legal action. Mojang seems to not care too much about piracy. Since literally all big servers are online only it's likely most people will just buy it. Once again this is just my opinion. I'm open to any new ideas if they come.

  • I wanna know the mindset of the people who against cracked Minecraft too. Do those people feel superior to the ones who cannot afford the game so they don't wanna help?

It's not like a billion-dollar company gonna give them any money if someone buys the game anyway. And not everyone lives in a place where 27$ isn't a big deal, in my country that amount of money is way too much for a student to afford, not to mention the payment method that Mojang require is totally uncommon here.

  • Oh, I don't think he is talking about the mods, more like the stigma against cracked users in general

    • Official Post

Cracked Minecraft is illegal. It's very nice of Mojang to not go after people who crack the Game, but that does not make it any less illegal. "Not being able to afford something" does not justify stealing it.

Aternos allows you to enable cracked mode on servers because, as Outfires pointed out, it is a function of the official Minecraft server software. However, it is important to note that Mojang did not design the option to allow piracy. It was designed to play in networks without internet access or while the authentication servers are down.

Because the use of cracked Minecraft is illegal and cracked mode on servers poses serious security risks, we strongly advise against enabling cracked mode.

We also will not provide support for problems that have anything to do with cracked Minecraft clients. We won't give you advice on how to pirate the game.

  • I understand. I just feel like not giving support to Cracked SERVERS is just petty. I understand not giving support to Cracked users. I'm just saying that I feel like not giving support to Cracked SERVERS is wrong.

  • He specifically said clients, not servers. There is no such thing as cracked servers, and it changes few things about actual issues, close to nothing, so of course we provide support to offline-mode* servers
