Sethome home command isnt working

why can't my friends do anything on my aternos server after i install essentials. and how do I add sethome command without essentials or the game getting glitvhed.

is doesnt show any errors when /sethome. THe command is working perfectly fine its just that my friends cant break anything unless I give them op on the server which I don't want to do.
