hi well this problem has happened to me before but it fixed its self. when ever i type in most commands that command just pops up in chat like when ever i do
/gm Shadow_Master916 it just says:
(chat) /gm <playername> but i did put in a playername
Commands totally failing

You have to do
/gm creative playername
Remember to put the gamemode you want to changecreative for Creative Mode
survival for Survival Mode
adventure for Adventure Mode -

Can you explain better what you mean?
Did you input a gamemode to switch to?(example: /gm 1 Shadow_Master916)

Did you OP yourself in console? Do /OP. Then do /gamemode c or /gamemode s. You don't need to put your own name
