I am thinking of making my player open for the public. Should I? Or should I just use something else to?

Aternos isn't thought for running public servers. What you will do next is your decision now.

You would need to know how many people would be on so you could set the player limit. Aternos is mainly for private servers among friends or relatives. I think it would be hard to use Aternos publicly.

Oh... I'll find another way to get a public server then..
Any free server won't work well for public. So buy a cheap server and get some loyal people then upgrade. Or advertise in social media or somewhere. All great servers start somewhere.

It would be hard because is only 15 plugins and isn't 24/7
And FTP control is not allowed too -
