    Hello, I was playing on my Aternos server and when I made the server I switched the version to a snapshot but now I want to switch it to 1.16.5 so after i switched it I joined the world and all my animals were gone and villagers luckily I had a backup so I loaded it up does anyone now how I can switch versions and not loose all my villagers, cows, etc.

    Downgrading existing worlds is usually not possible. When updating the game, Mojang makes changes to the world format and adds new blocks/items/entities that are placed in the world, so going back to an older version becomes impossible.
