    Geyser for Java Edition 1.16.5 is only compatible with Bedrock Edition 1.16. Since, on most devices, downgrading Minecraft Bedrock Edition to older versions is almost impossible, using an outdated Geyser version would be pretty pointless.


    The "correct" way to allow Bedrock players to join your 1.16.5 server would be to install the latest GeyserMC version and the ViaVersion plugin for 1.16/1.17 compatibility.
