one strange thing happened to me, my friend and I set up a minecraft server and everything was fine, the important thing is that I was basically the only one playing on the server, because I only played there once with a friend. Today, after a long time, I turned on this server to play on the new version 1.17. when I was mining I found a gray wave in the cave, I was really confused but I thought it might be just a bug, then I went to the sea to have an axolotl but I found something else .... there was a boat in the sea and there were a lot of items that just floated on the surface, we picked them up and quickly left and shut down the server. white list has been turned on .........

Maybe your friend was pranking you?
Or your friend turned the server on and joined and did that stuff, then you joined. -
