Curseforge Modpack Mineshafts&Monsters Update

I would like to ask if Mineshafts & Monsters could be updated to 1.8.0. I saw that it was basically 'deupgraded' to 1.7.0 (Discord, from 1.7.2 to 1.7.0). Was it intended to be like this?
