  • So I downloaded the world from my friend's Minehut 1.18.1 Server running Paper (no mods). It contains a lot of structures, which span through thousands of blocks. I've decided to move it to Aternos, so I created a server with Forge 1.18.1 with three mods installed: Minecraft Transit Railway, Immersive Engineering and Architectury. After setting up everything else, I uploaded the world to Aternos as a .zip file I downloaded from Minehut, which contains all the world files (with uid.dat removed because it isn't in a regular world file). Loading the world in singleplayer via %appdata%/.minecraft/saves just works perfectly with the game (same loader with same mods, which probably means that the world is theoretically completely compatitable with Forge 1.18.1 with the mods mentioned above), but when I upload it to Aternos, it does have the same world generation and seed, but all the structures that me and my friends built were gone. What went wrong and how to fix it?

What I've tried and how they failed:
    - I tried disabling optimization which deletes unused chunks, but it gets automatically enabled again.

    - Instead of uploading my copy of the world from Minehut, I loaded it in the Forge loader 1.18.1 with the three mods mentioned above, saved the game, then uploaded that copy of the world to Aternos, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Changed the title of the thread from “Uploaded world doesn't get readed” to “Uploaded world doesn't get properly readed”.
  • Is the file-upload actually successful?

    Does changing cracked mode help?

Try uploading the world, then disable optimization, then start the server.

I enabled cracked mode, and whenever I disable optimization, it gets automatically enabled once the server starts. How do I fix this? Turning off opitmization immediately doesn't seem to do the trick as the world still behaves the same.

  • Thanks, now it's solved. For some reason the spawnpoint is a few thousand blocks away from my builds, and obtaining the original spawnpoint and dying will allow me to spawn back to where we were. Problem was solved. Thanks for the help anyway!
