Me and a friend of mine started a modded server and he cant connect whenever he tries it says unexpected custom data from client
if logs are needed i will send them

He should double check that the installed collection of mods is the same as on the server. Also the versions of the mods must match.
Another thing he could try is to delete the config folder.
