Any messages in the logs? For example a message that a user tried to connect to the server?

That's not possible. The EssentialsX download only comes with the main EssentialsX .jar, Chat spawn etc. were never included.
Only the main, outdated essentials comes with a bundle of all plugins. I assume you just mixed them together.

To give specific users access to specifc commands you need permissions system like pex.
With these permission systems you can create groups of players who have only access to the commands you configure

The easiest way would be to share your log to mclo.gs using the share button on https://aternos.org/log .
All Error messages will be colored red and you can also find solutions for the most common errors.
