Try it out. If it does not work you can upload the original world again.
So you should create a copy of the world before changing anything.

You only need to rename the folders when you change from vanilla to bukkit/spigot or vice versa.

If you want to play your world in single player it's like changing back to vanilla.

AFAIK Factions requires MassiveCore to run.

For future, go to https://aternos.org/log and click on the share button. There you can find the most common errors e.g. missing dependencies.
