Actually server setting 12 client setting render 16 simulation 9

Hi. I started an SMP with my friend and my render distance is acting weird :
Its actually set on 12, but fogs stops at around 4 chunks in overworld and 1 chunk and half in nether. No idea about end thoI need to go nether but render distance drive me crazy
Any way to fix it please?

I use my aternos server to test plugins before i add these one on my server (this one is not hosted by aternos btw) but some plugins are on github etc. so i can't try these one. So I suggest : Can you add possibility to upload own folders (etc.) ? (at least for plugins)
